Apple/EMI DRM Deal: Any Affect On Apple Revenues?

You would have thought that a second Earth moon had been discovered given how much attention was paid to the Apple, EMI pact on digital music rights. All we care about is does the deal have any material impact on Apple's business. It depends on who you talk with.

JP Morgan worries that open DRM opens to doors to competitors. UBS sees this selling more iPods because now users can more easily play songs on their computers and elsewhere. We will put our faith in Steve Jobs that he gets the long term repercussions of freeing the DRM and isn't going to hand over his baby.
